Oncology

Oncology, a science that examines the formation, causes, diagnosis and treatment of tumors in the body and examines their genetic genes.  Malignant and benign cancers are also studied in this science.  This expands the interest of the branches of oncology.

Oncology, also studying chemotherapy applications, to treat cancer with chemotherapy, also examines cancer prevention applications, cancer detection and early diagnosis of  the disease.

Surgical oncology: participates in the diagnosis of the disease and the removal of cancerous tissues.  The biopsy is taken through a surgical procedure, and the biopsy is very important for final diagnosis and more accurate detection of infected cells.  Screening promises to take a tissue sample from the tumor is important in detecting the presence and type of cancer.

Therapeutic oncology: After surgical treatment or in patients with cancer so widespread that they cannot be operated on,  chemotherapy and radiation therapy are continued depending on the diagnosis and spread of the tumor.  (Pediatric oncology treatment has a pediatric doctor)

Radiation oncology: It is strengthened by the treatment  of malignant tumors by inciting it with radiation.  This treatment is applied through advanced radiation therapy devices, with the aim of destroying the tumor area without damaging healthy tissues.

Chemotherapy: Cancer is treated with chemotherapy. It is accompanied with surgical treatment and radiation therapy and is a very important part of oncology treatment.  Chemotherapy aims to grow or destroy cancer cells.  Some are given orally, mostly by intravenous-y injections, either on their own or with other treatments.  Also, some of the different drugs used are chemotherapy drugs that directly affect the tumor and are known as cancer drugs, hormones and medications that strengthen the immune system.  Other medications will be taken to eliminate the side effects of medications that directly affect the tumor.  The target varies depending on the patient’s condition.

Oncology is divided into the following sections:

  • Specialist in gynecological tumors: deals with the diagnosis and treatment of cancers in the female genitalia.

Oncology is a field specializing in chemotherapy drugs.

  • Pediatric Tumors: Is the field of oncology that is generalized with the diagnosis and treatment of cancer in children.
  • Radiation oncology: threat of cancer treatment through radiation therapy.
  • Oncology: The field of oncology that specializes in biopsy and surgery to remove the tumor.
